Not all packaging will have a recycling label but this doesn't mean you can't recycle it.
This link tells you about OPRL's (On Pack Recycling Labels) and explains why some packaging says "Not Yet Recycled" when it actually is recyclable. https://www.recyclenow.com/recycling-knowledge/packaging-symbols-explained
Remember Tendring Primary Recycle Scheme (TPRS) collects items regardless of these labels. The items we take are determined by CORPORATE SPONSORS, this piece of information is critical for understanding how we operate.
Warburton sponsor our bread bag and bakery scheme, while KP sponsor our crisp packet scheme. Each sponsor will decide on the rules, e.g. whether to accept all brands, or just their own. Some sponsors also set rules like, they will accept caps, triggers and tubs, but no bottles. Or the Jacobs biscuit and cake scheme will not accept plastic trays, but the Warburton bakery scheme does.
Importantly, just because a packet looks to be the same materials as one we accept, it doesn't mean we can accept it! This is another critical piece of information on our scheme. For example; Super Noodles come in foil lined packets that look like a crisp packet, but, KP are a business and they will only pay for crisp packets to be recycled, not noodle packets for which they have no media or environmental interest in. So we can't accept noodle packets as there is no sponsor for them.
